This is my story…

I want to be your ears and eyes in the wild spaces of our planet.

Then I want to reach your soul and enrich it so that you eventually are compelled to discover your core, beautifully created self.

I am what you see behind the images and stories I tell of, but there is a far greater One behind me. He has blessed me with an opportunity to bring you the magic that is creation!

I had the privilege of growing up in the bushveld of Southern Africa, believing this to be my home and the roots of my soul.

I have found the wild African bushveld is considered “special” to so many, from all walks of life, not just those who grew up there like me. I thought no one could love the wild more than me, as if it was made for me – oh the imagination of a bush princess!

In my travels, though not terribly extensive as yet, it became evident that this feeling of belonging to these free, wild spaces is inside all of us, only, very few entertain the reality that we are all part of this much larger whole. To entertain this reality would mean to acknowledge the imbalance in the stressful lives we live and many of us fear that would result in our unravelling… since the stress itself holds us in place in the race, and while we don’t look the imbalance in the eye, we won’t feel the pain.

In todays world, being able to immerse oneself in these wild spaces is becoming more and more of a distant dream.

It is becoming more and more costly to protect wildlife and natural spaces in our overpopulated world. It is also becoming increasingly costly to live and support a family in this world.

Reconnecting with the wild of my youth, reconnected me with my own soul and creative expression. In choosing to follow that calling, I have discovered a skill I had never developed – photography. Always an interest to me, it played second fiddle to raising a family and paying the bills.

As space shrinks and crowds grow, I hope to draw you into the wild spaces of our world, so that you can more regularly allow yourself to breathe easy, slow your mind down and feel your unique you.

Take your time, live through me, as if I could take you all on these trips with me!

Where do I want to go?

“to help prevent people from destroying wild spaces, we need to make the wild spaces work for humans and wildlife.”

“to promote and support responsibly practicing wildlife organizations and lodges”

“to share the majesty of our earth and inspire you to find joy in every day – it’s a choice”

I want to reach everywhere. All the incredible natural and wild spaces we have left that I can take my camera to, to share with you.

How can people help?

We all have a role to play in saving our wildlife spaces.

  • Consider investigating the practices of any wildlife conservation effort before you support it
  • Choose only to visit parks and lodges compliant with globally acceptable sustainability practices
  • Share what wildlife means to you
  • As consumers, we can choose to use less, waste less and put back into our earth
  • Promote your local wildlife spaces

for starters…

How can I help?

Supporting and promoting reputable, effective projects and organizations whose principals in conservation align with mine in making a difference. Seeking to find a common goal with wildlife partners towards which I can contribute my time and images in support of their efforts to re-wild and sustain the wild on our earth.
